The deck consists of two continuous riveted lattice girders of the multiple hinge type, with a height of 5.8m and a width of 4.8m. The deck is supported on masonry pillars founded at a maximum depth of 15m by piles. The deck is supported on the pillars by longitudinal movable supports, at the abutments and at one of the pillars. At the other pillar, the supports are of the fixed type. The bridge deck was altered in 1967 with the introduction of catenary and the raising of the upper rail and horizontal bracing.<br \/>\nThe intervention included the introdution of external prestressing and replacement of some steel elements.
