Church of the Jesuits College

Description:
The exterior walls of the structure are made of basaltic stone masonry with lime and sand mortar. The nave has a round masonry dome. The walls and roof are coated with lime and sand mortar. The east gable, of approximately 17 m wide, is reinforced by the bell tower and two buttresses, which, taken together, balance the impulses transmitted by the roof to the walls. The nave consists of a central domed structure of round-irregular stone mortar with about 0.40 m thick, on which the timber structure roof rests. The rehabilitation intervention also gave an improvement of seismic behavior of the structure.
